I am not a trained voice actor or anything, but I have this compulsion to record audio versions of texts. The public domain is my first choice as I don't need to worry about copyrights. I have decided to start with the tales of Hans Christian Andersen, which will take quite a long time. Not all stories are equally good, but I'll try to keep the better ones near the top as the list gets longer.
Just a head's up - I feel like my voice is not emotive enough in the readings. I am working on trying to emote more. Still, I think you will find my voice soothing and relaxing, and may put you to sleep, so these should make good bedtime stories.
